A very interesting Tasty Tuesday

As promised...here is a very "special" Tasty Tuesday. Don't you just want to eat her up?! Her name is Onyx and she's an 8 month old Shiz Tu/Poodle mix and she's absolutely "massive" at 7 pounds. We're hoping that she'll be coming to live with us soon. Laci and I went to meet her this afternoon and she's soooooo adorable and all she want to do is be held and loved on....Two things she'll get a LOT of here at our house.

Batman....We have a problem!

Robin's down! According to my father, our patio door is a bird killer. The other day he was sitting in our living room watching tv when he heard a "THUD THUD" against our patio door and this is what he found.
Does it make me a "bad" person that I'm posting about the untimely death of Robin? I can't really decide.

Wordless Wednesday - Sort of

Cause my Steelers are going to the SUPER BOWL and the quarterback isn't exactly "Terrible" to look at!

ESPN ranked Steelers fan the best fans in America - but everyone already knew that!! They based their ranking on (1=GREAT; 5=worst):

Stadium factor (loud? great atmosphere?) - our rank: 1

Live and die factor (fans take loss hard? ESPN considers this a good thing) - 1

Traveling road show factor (big presence in other stadiums?) - 2

Loyalty when team sucks (score points by sticking with loser) - 1

Hate factor (other teams fans hate your fans; this is good according to ESPN) - 1

Tailgate factor (home tailgates sizzling or stale?) - 2

Home fans creativity (wacky ideas or not?) - 2

TOTAL (adding up the above rankings) - 10 (we actually tied with Greenbay Packers fans with the total, but think that sellouts and season-ticket waiting list placed us above them) -- SEE BELOW

PITTSBURGH STEELERS

Consecutive sellouts: 299 Season-ticket waiting list: More than six years

No team is as woven into the fabric of a city. The organization's stability has a lot to do with it, as generations of Steelers fans relate to the tradition of ownership (Rooneys), smashmouth football, quality head coaches (league-low three since 1969) and success (five Super Bowl titles). The season-ticket waiting list is extremely long and the consecutive sellout streak of 299 games, including playoffs, is unbelievable. -- James Walker

Some Photoshop "projects"

Here are some of the Photoshop projects that I've done so far. I downloaded PW's Action Sets and I've been trying to figure some of those out too. Well I think I've mastered 1 or 2 so far but with time and practice I'll get more "mastered." The photo's I used were just some that I found on the hard drive...I'm guessing they were borrowed off the net at some point but I can't tell you from where cause I have no idea.

The photo above is the orginial

Already uploaded the Action Sets off of PW's blog....going to play with them some and see if I can't figure out this program.

My 'Girl" Vacation!!

I am finally going to get to go on my “girl” vacation! My friend Ashley and I have decided that we are going to go to the PBR event in Nampa, ID in April, we actually leave the end of March though.

The original plan was to fly out there. Now I'm pretty sure the plan has changed and we are going to be taking the Amtrack out there. It'll be almost a 2 day train ride plus an 8 hour bus ride but I think it will be worth it in the end. It’s a three day event and I’ll finally be old enough to rent a rental vehicle from the PBR’s sponor Enterprise Rent A Car. Ok, so I just found out as I was writing this that you only have to be 21 to rent from Enterprise but who cares at this point. I’m soooooo excited that I’ve already ordered Idaho travel information and a road map too. Ashley’s even been looking for things that she wants to do and sent me this yesterday afternoon. So I guess if we’re going to go and do this trip we’re going BIG!

I mean who wouldn’t want to go all that way to look at that or even some of this:

But as good as the “Butt Cam” is my favorite part has to be:

The introduction pyro….I come from a long line of pyro “maniacs.”

Don’t worry between the both of us there will be PLENTY of photo’s to go around to share with all the blogging peeps out there. Plus it’s going to be one heck of a “Dear Diary” too! Oh, I guess I should tell you all what “Dear Diary” is….everytime we go to an event or on a trip we write about what goes on before, during and after the whole trip….pretty basic readers digest version of what it is but hey, it works right?!
