Of epilepsy, beef and "Girl" vacations?!

Yesterday we went and pick up the 1/2 a beef that we ordered from my uncle. 457 pounds of beef later we have 3 full freezers and at least 60 pounds of ground beef from last years steer that didn't fit. I see A LOT of Hamburger helper in our future we have that much ground beef. Did you know that there is actually a cut of beef called the Arm Roast? I didn't until yesterday.

Yesterday our dog was diagnosed with epilepsy. As of Wednesday morning she had had two seizures in the past three days. Now she's part of a study on a new seizure drug that has been proven effective in Europe and some company is trying to get it FDA approved in the US. Dang dog had a seizure Sunday night right after James Harrison intercepted the ball and ran it back for 100 yards...My mom thought the dog was going to kick the bucket and my dad just thought that she was interupting the game.

I realize that there is still 5 days left to vote on my poll of weather or not I should go on a "Girl" vacation but so far it looks like it's a resounding Hell Yeah! You've got 5 days to get your vote in ladies and gents.

An update on my Girl vacation

I blogged a little while ago about my Girl vacation to Idaho with my good friend Ashley. Well, unfortuantely the vacation has been put on hold. With all the things that have gone recently and this dang thing called "real life" it's just been a royal pain in the ass to me and I just can't afford to go all that way right now. But the upside is that though I may not be going to Idaho, I still have vacation during that time and I'm hoping that we can come up with something to do close to home, still have some fun but of course not as much fun as if we were in Nampa, Idaho sipping Bud Light, watching cowboys bend over to pick up their bullropes.

I must go now, it's actually really upsetting me that I'm not able to go on this trip and if I don't stop talking about it I may just sit right down and cry.

What would you do?

If you haven't looked at my blogroll recently you should.....Because it's gotten a crap ton bigger. I've gotten pretty bad at visiting the blogs that I follow so I added them to my blog roll so that I will actually go and comment on them. You should check them out...You never know you might meet some new bloggy friends.

What would you do if you were me? In the last two weeks my brother's fiancee' has tried to kill me twice while driving her car and then last Saturday night she tailgated a car the last few miles on our way to work (we ride together because we work at the same place and basically have the same schedule). With my tax return I was just going to get new struts put in and still go on my girl vacation to Idaho but in light of all that's happened recently I'm wondering if I should get the brakes and rotors done too and start driving myself and put my girl vacation on hold until we go to the Minneapolis PBR event in September?

We, as in my coworkers and I, learned the other night at work that everyone's hours in the month of January and possibly February (they haven't seen the forecasted hour allottment yet) will be cut by at LEAST 1 day. This actually kind of sucks more than a little bit but with the way the economy is right now very understandable. So as a result of being in debt to the Bank of Dad, trying to save money for my trip to Nampa (which I'm still going on because I was approved the time off before my car went "boom" on me), and my hours being cut I went out and spent a little bit of money on some more yarn, knitting needles, and a book (complete with patterns) so I can learn more than the basic stitch, since I won't be going much of anywhere or doing much of anything really fun for a little while.
