This is something new that I'm trying out...I've seen it done on a couple of the blogs that I frequent so I thought that I would give it a try. If you want to join in the fun click on the "Mama's Losin' It!!" button to go to Mama Kat's blog. Here are this weeks prompts:
1.) Discuss an intense game of Pictionary that you spent most of Saturday night arguing with your family about, only to log in to your email account two days later to find 35 emails between said family regarding aformentioned game and rules.
2.) Tell about a time you hurt somebody that still bothers you to this day.
3.) The one that got away....spill it.Thank you Kristen from All In A Mom's Life for those last two suggestions.
4.) What inspired you? Write about a time when you were impassioned to write.(writingfix.com)
5.) What happened in the last year? Write about something you can do now that you couldn't do a year ago. (writingfix.com)
6.) Write about the event that was the end of your childhood(writingfix.com)
I'm choosing number 5 this go around. What happened in the last year? Well in the last year or so it's been a bit tipsy turvy. Alot has gone on in my life so I thought that I would try to do this prompt as more of a "photo essay" type post. I hope you enjoy it.
I got my first digital camera and printing station last Christmas. Love my camera, haven't figured it all out yet but I still love it.
I started growing my hair out....I started out with hair slightly longer than Alyssa Millano's short style.
We said "hello" to Laci when we adopted her last March.
Spring actually showed up and decided to stick around....unlike this year.
I went on a trip to Omaha, Nebraska where I got to go to the birthplace of John Wayne, saw my first covered bridge, was in my first Cabela's and got to see one of my favorite sports....Professional Bullriding.
I saw Craig Morgan live in concert....AWESOME show!
Twilight happened...Need I say more? You can NEVER have toooo much Edward.
We said "Goodbye" to our dog Shawna....She was almost 20 years old and her quality of life was deteriating. We still miss her alot...Needless to say Thanksgiving is now a dark holiday at our house.
We had new floors put in in December....Laci doesn't like the floors....she slides a lot and spends alot of time lying on the rugs we've got put down.
I had a benign cyst removed from my right leg in February and acquired 3 stitches...For the record stitches SUCK!
That is my ugly ass scar from my stitches....I really HATE it! Sorry about the fuzziness of the photo.
My mom and I decided to start Cloudberry Creations where you can get your own Tote bags, aprons, oven mitts, etc. We even have our own blog for Cloudberry....http://cloudberrycreations.blogspot.com if you want to drop by and check it out.
Well, that's my year or so in a nutshell....Now for the second half of the question....Write about something you can do now that you couldn't do a year ago. I learned to knit in one 30 minute lunch break....My brother's fiancee had taught herself how to knit and I wanted to learn so she taught one of our co-worker's and I how to knit on our lunch break. I also got back on the sewing wagon in the last few weeks. I hadn't touched a sewing machine since middle school...I just turned 25 on the 21st of February.
What a great idea! It looks like you had a busy year!
ReplyDeleteWhat a busy and productive year... Your grandmother is a doll... I love Twilight! and seriously, 2 P.E. classes your senior year?? How much would that suck...."Jamie, I'm sorry...you can't graduate because you don't have enough P.E. credits.." I disliked it too growing up..but when I got in Jr. High/Highschool, I started playing basketball, and then didn't mind it so much.
ReplyDeleteYour hair is getting long! I hate growing my hair out so when it's short I just get extensions until it grows to the length I like!
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry about your doggy! We lost one of our dogs last year too, it's horrible to loose one of your babies!
Love the idea of year in review in pictures.
ReplyDeleteYou've been busy! I'm sorry about the loss of your dog. That's always hard.
ReplyDeleteGreat post. I especially like the first photo of the house. It's so pretty, it looks like a doll's house. Laci is beautiful, although you must miss Shawna (sorry...) Love the idea of your business. Good luck!!
